At sixteen, many people are excited about driving or landing a first job. Lauren Dair was excited about graduating high school. This high-achieving Laurel Springs alum has kept that momentum going ever since.
On the Fast Track
When Lauren is not hiking the California hills or playing with her three dogs, she’s focused on her career. As an actress and musician based in Los Angeles, Lauren has her work cut out for her, but she’s used to getting things done.
Lauren enrolled in Laurel Springs from seventh grade through high school, but it didn’t take as long as some of her peers. “While enrolled at Laurel Springs, I was able to take community college classes for certain classes and graduate high school at the age of 16 years old.”
Lauren took full advantage of Laurel Springs’ flexible schedule and mastered time management to reach these goals. “Laurel Springs taught me…how to take control of my educational and professional life. The support I had from my teachers was so encouraging and they constantly pushed me to do my best.”
Music to Her Ears
That motivational push from her past lasted well into her future. Before long, her love of music grew and graduated into a full-time career. “After Laurel Springs, I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2018 with my Bachelors in Music Business. In December 2019, I graduated with my Masters in Music Industry with a specialization in Music Supervision (placing music in TV and film). I’m currently working at Red Bull Records as a Data Analyst.”
Remembering Her Roots
While Lauren is thriving since her days at Laurel Springs, she hasn’t lost sight of the lessons learned and experiences shared. This is why she’s excited to reconnect with fellow alum through LSS Alumni Connect. “I can’t wait to connect with other Laurel Springs students and also be there to support others in the community!”
